Litigation involves bringing or defending a claim in court and can become necessary if a party breaks a contract and/or you are unable to get both parties to resolve a dispute.

You do not need to be resident in Spain to bring a case to court and, if you find yourself involved in a serious problem or dispute, Finco Financial Services will undertake to find you expert legal representation.

After consultation with our panel of expert Spanish lawyers we accept most civil cases but the acceptance of clients is on a case to case basis, depending on the merits of the case and the likelihood of success when compared to the stresses and cost of filing the case.

Our experts, in the first instance, generally advocate mediation and negotiation to attempt to resolve the dispute without recourse to potentially lengthy court proceedings – should that not be successful, a court case will be filed.
